SLC Late Arrival Day Sept. 15 Monday, Sept. 15, the 12 MNPS high schools implementing Smaller Learning Communities will have SLC late arrival days. On the 15th, students attending Antioch, Cane Ridge, Glencliff, Hillsboro, Hillwood, Hunters Lane, Maplewood, McGavock, Overton, Pearl-Cohn, Stratford and Whites Creek will report to school 2 1/2 hours late at 9:40 a.m. For more information, click here.
New Organizational Chart for MNPS This summer, MNPS Central Office, in collaboration with the State Department of Education, made some organizational changes. To see the new administrative structure, click here.
New Board Sworn in to Office Tuesday, Aug. 26, five recently elected individuals were sworn in to serve on the Metro Board of Education. Sworn in were new member and District 1 representative Sharon Dixon Gentry, Ed.D., new member and District 9 representative Alan Coverstone, District 3 incumbent Mark North, District 5 incumbent Gracie Porter, and District 7 incumbent Edward Kindall. Each of these five will serve a four year term alongside JoAnn Brannon, Steve Glover, Karen Johnson, and David Fox. For more information about the board, click here.
