When are TCAP score reports sent home?
Report data is not currently available. Reports are typically sent by schools during the first 9 week period.

What time does school dismiss on half days for most schools?
Elementary 11:30 a.m.
Middle          12:25 a.m.
High             10:35 a.m.
or 3 1/2 hours after start time

Optional Schools Application
Families may continue to apply until July 30 through the Optional Schools Application .

How do I get a student ID number to apply for an Optional School?
Bring the following documents to the nearest Enrollment Center.
  • Birth Certificate or acceptable proof of age - (see Tennessee Office of Vital Records)
  • Proof of Residency (current utility bill, lease, etc.) must be resident of Davidson County
  • Photo ID of parent

    Where does my child attend school?
  • Click Find Our Schools or call us at 259-INFO. Be prepared to provide your address including your house number.

    What are the requirements to enter Kindergarten?

    To be eligible for Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old on or before August 15, 2014. Students currently enrolled in a state accredited non-public school, Headstart or public school administered Pre-K program with birthdates between August 15th and August 31st turning 5 years old will be grandfathered for the 2014-15 school year.

    Which documents are required to register for school?
    Bring the following documents to the nearest Enrollment Center.

     

    • Birth Certificate or acceptable proof of age - (see Tennessee Office of Vital Records)
    • Immunization (shot record) must be up-to-date and on a Tennessee Certificate of Immunization Form
    • Physical (within 12 months of school starting)
    • Proof of Residency (current utility bill, lease, etc.) must be resident of Davidson County
    • Social Security Card or number (optional) 

    Enrollment Centers are open in all zoned high schools year round. Please go to the Enrollment Center instead of the local elementary or middle school.

    Where can I see information and test results on my child's school?

    Choose School List under the Schools tab on home page to find your child's school and click on "Profile" to see information. In addition, you may click on the school name and you will be linked to the school's web site or click or "Map" and see the school's zone.

     

  • Is my child eligible for transportation and where is the bus stop for my home?
    Click Buses & Transportation, read, and follow the directions. Or call us at 259-INFO.
    Bus information for 2014-15 will be available mid-July.

  • What are the MNPS teaching and learning standards?

    What are the employment opportunities and how may I apply?

    How do I verify a diploma or obtain school records?
    For information on obtaining school records, click here. If you simply need to verify a student's receipt of diploma, send a fax requesting that information to the Tennessess Department of Education (615) 253-6038.

    How do I verify employment with MNPS?

    How do I request assistance with a service or file a complaint about a concern?
    Customers may request assistance with services or file complaints in the Customer Service Center in person, by telephone or by email. Click here to find out more or contact us at 259-INFO Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.



  • Our Customer Service Center is open from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday on regular school days. For school holidays, Customer Service hours are the same as Central Office hours of operation, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
