Welcome to Metro Middle Schools
The middle school years are a crucial age for students. With so many changes happening to them and all around them, it's a perfect time to develop the 'whole child,' meaning a student's social, emotional, and intellectual well-being. At Metro Schools, we have changed our approach to teaching middle school students. We are focused on developing well-rounded students through academics and chances for social engagement. We prepare our teachers and administrators to understand early adolescents and the unique approach needed to reach them. We bring parents and families into the school to build relationships with teachers and to collaborate with them in support of their children. We do this to "provide every student with the foundation of knowledge, skills and character necessary to excel in high education, work, and life."

- Forty schools spanning grades 5-8, with approximately 20,000 students of rich cultural diversity
- Learning maximized through block scheduling for reading/language arts, math, science, social studies, and related arts
